Milinković-Savić channels Ibrahimović with an overhead goal

The Serbian star Sergej Milinković-Savić, a key midfielder for Al Hilal, said his spectacular strike against Al Fayha was inspired by Zlatan Ibrahimović, the Swedish icon he admires.

Milinković-Savić produced a brilliant overhead kick to seal a 4-1 victory on Thursday night, as part of the 17th round of the Roshen Saudi Pro League.

Speaking after the game to the Eight platform, he said: "We didn't start in the best way, but we managed to find the right path again after conceding early."

He added: "We managed to score two goals and kept control, finishing the first half with the lead; in the second half we dictated the tempo and secured the win."

On his stunning goal, Milinković-Savić said: "It came Ibrahimović-style. I love him, his mentality inspires me, so I am very happy to score that way."

With this result, Al Hilal widened the gap to seven points over the nearest challengers, reaching 44 points atop the Saudi Pro League table.

Punchline: If confidence on the pitch were a weapon, Milinković-Savić would need fewer bullets than Zlatan imports.

Punchline 2: Boom! That bicycle kick was so Ibrahimović, even the highlight reel needed a nap after it.
