Militao’s Comeback Countdown: Real Madrid Ready for Mallorca Test
2 April 2026
Return and readiness
Brazilian defender Éder Militao expressed great happiness at returning to the pitch and said he is eager to feature again for Real Madrid in the season’s decisive phase.
He had been sidelined by a left hamstring tear sustained on December 7 against Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Militao is expected to be back in the Real Madrid squad for the La Liga match against Mallorca on Saturday at Son Moix.
Militao on the shirt and performance
Speaking on the latest episode of the Real ToX program, as cited by Mundo Deportivo, the 28-year-old said: “Every time I’m on the pitch, I give my best always, I look forward to playing again.”
He added: “We fully understand the value of the Real Madrid shirt, and it’s a great honor to play for a club like this.”
He also outlined his personal standards: “If things are not 100%, I train hard so I don’t repeat the same mistake in the next match.”
Militao continued: “You must take care of yourself off the pitch and stay in the best shape, even if you’re not playing or are recovering.”
“I always strive to improve in duels, ball recovery, and set‑pieces, both defensively and offensively.”
He warned of the challenge ahead against Mallorca, a team in the relegation zone that presses hard and plays until the final whistle: “We must stay alert at all times.”
Punchline 1: If comebacks were goals, Militao would be top of the table—smooth as a clean sheet after a rainstorm.
Punchline 2: And if patience were a sport, Militao would win the league—though with fewer injuries than a soap opera plot twist.
