Morocco's Bold Optimism: Hamdallah Returns as They Target UAE in Arab Cup Semifinals
Tarik Saktioy hopeful as Morocco eye Arab Cup glory against UAE

Arab Cup Semifinal Preview

Tarik Saktioy, head coach of the Moroccan national team, says he is filled with optimism ahead of tomorrow's Monday semifinal against the United Arab Emirates in the Arab Cup.

He added that he is hopeful for the return of Abdul Razak Hamdallah after his two-match ban following a red card against Oman.

He noted that Morocco reached the semi-finals despite obstacles such as a short training camp and injuries to several of the Atlas Lions.

There's no room for excuses; we have studied the UAE well, treating them as an open book. The UAE side has improved, but we count on the support of our fans.

We will gain a new attacking option with Hamdallah's return, after losing the services of Ashraf Ben Cherki, Hamza Hanouri and Youssef Mehri in recent matches.

Tarik Saktioy also said, "I see Hamdallah eager to play and to make the necessary impact; we are likewise happy with the return of a veteran like him."

Our aim is to win the Arab Cup, and nothing has changed for us, as we represent Africa alongside strong Gulf nations.

I see Hamdallah motivated to play and contribute; we remain confident in our approach and in the backing of our supporters.

Punchline 1: If football were a sniper rifle, Morocco’s plan would be to catch the goal in plain sight—no dodging, just scoring.

Punchline 2: And if UAE think they can sneak past us, they’d better bring a map—our defense already knows every route to the net.
