Injury Update Ahead of Goa Clash

Saudi press outlined the injury status of Al Nassr players ahead of their AFC Champions League 2 match against Goa India in the group stage’s fourth round.

Al Nassr prepare to face Goa on Wednesday in the group stage; they edged Goa 2-1 in the third round at home.

Saudi newspaper Al-Yaom reported that four players — Mohammed Siamakan, a French defender; Saad Al-Nasser, the left back; Ayman Yahya; Abdul Malik Al-Jaber — continue rehab in training.

The four remain out of coach Jorge Jesus's plans for the upcoming Asian clash.

Nassr chase another Asian win to extend their streak and aim for a fourth consecutive victory to reach 12 points and top Group D, securing a Round of 16 spot.

Head coach Jorge Jesus hopes to ease the group-stage fatigue, which forces long travel and sometimes keeping stars on the bench to ease the league load.

After bowing out of the King Cup, Nassr will focus on sealing Asian qualification and potentially contending for the title, as the Saudi club remains the standout in the eight groups.

In the league, the team sits at the top after seven rounds, undefeated with seven wins.

Hard-fought win: Nassr narrowly avoided a draw, beating Al-Fayha 2-1.

Ronaldo's brace answered Al-Fayha’s progress, with a first-half strike.

The Portuguese star’s two goals kept Nassr on top with 21 points.

Intense criticism followed Ronaldo after a tough week, not contributing in the loss to Al-Ittihad, yet he scored twice in a 2-1 win.

Some argued Ronaldo should stay on the pitch even when not at his best, a stance echoed by Jesus and predecessors.

The reply came on the pitch as Ronaldo netted a brace, including a penalty, a weapon some questioned.

He also missed a penalty against Al-Fateh when goalkeeper Amin Bukhari saved, though he later scored a superb goal in a 5-1 win.

Ronaldo then converted a winning penalty versus Al-Fayha to seal the 2-1 victory.

The Portuguese ace now has 12 braces for Nassr, after 11 braces with the Yellow Army since joining in early 2023.

His 'Madrera Rocket' kicked off the brace run in his first season with the Yellow Army.

In the following season, he scored twice in five matches against Al-Shabab, Al-Ahli, Al-Akhdoud, and Al-Ittihad (twice).

Last season's braces came in four occasions: against Damac, Al-Khaleej, Al-Hilal and finally Al-Riyadh.

In the current season, he has two goals in a 5-1 win over Riyadh, and two more in a 2-1 win over Al-Fayha.

On penalties, Ronaldo has converted 179 of 214 attempts, missing 35 in his career.

Punchline: Ronaldo's goals—so frequent, even the ball files a standing ovation.

Punchline 2: If football were arithmetic, Ronaldo would be a constant—always solving for X in the back of the net.
