Nigeria’s goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali mocked Morocco’s players’ tears after their 1-0 defeat in the Africa Cup of Nations final.
Morocco failed to reclaim the title, which has eluded them since 1976, as Senegal edged them 1-0 on Sunday.
Many Moroccan players reportedly shed tears following AFCON 2025’s final, played in front of their home crowd.
A cheeky Instagram reply
Nwabali later took to Instagram, telling them to use the towels they carry to wipe their tears.
Nigeria had finished third in AFCON 2025.
Morocco had reached the final by beating Nigeria on penalties, before stumbling to Senegal in the final.
Punchline 1: If tears were goals, Morocco would be champions by now.
