Palestine Aims to Beat Saudi Arabia in Arab Cup 2025
Jibril Rajoub, president of the Palestinian Football Association, underscored the significance of the upcoming clash with Saudi Arabia in the 2025 Arab Cup.
The Palestinian national team is set to face Saudi Arabia tomorrow at Lusail Stadium in the Arab Cup quarterfinals.
Rajoub told television audiences: "We respect the Saudi team as we do all other federations, and we stand at an equal distance from every Arab federation."
He added: "We will confront Saudi Arabia with true Palestinian national will; if we win, it is a deserved victory. If we lose, we will congratulate Saudi Arabia and accept defeat in the spirit of fair play, but we are coming to win."
Palestine advanced to the Arab Cup 2025 quarterfinals as group winners after one win and two draws in Group A, while Saudi Arabia qualified as runners-up in Group B.
The winner of the Saudi vs Palestine match will face the winner of Jordan vs Iraq in the semifinals, another match scheduled for Thursday.
Punchline 1: Our plan is simple—defend like a bunker, attack like a punchline—the goal posts are already laughing.
Punchline 2: If confidence scored goals, Palestine would be world champions by now.
