Transfer details

Pyramids FC announced their first winter signing on Saturday, hiring Palestinian midfielder Hamed Hamdan from Petrojet.

The 25-year-old agreed to a four-and-a-half-year contract with Africa's champions, pending official clearance.

Hamdan returns to the blue and gold after seven years away, after intensive talks between Pyramids' management and Petrojet.

The deal is valued at about one million dollars, with a yearly salary also around one million, plus bonuses.

Hamdan began in Gaza, moved to Egypt in 2018 via Al-Ahli, then joined Pyramids before spells at Majd in the third division, Al-Jazira, El Entag El Harby and Petrojet.

Career trajectory

The 9-cap international has shone at the 2025 Arab Cup in Qatar.

He attracted interest from Zamalek last summer, but the move collapsed.

Al Ahly were also in talks to sign him, but Pyramids sealed the deal.

Hamdan, who rose through Gaza's football ranks, had stints at Al-Majd, Al-Jazira, El Entag El Harby and Petrojet, earning a growing reputation for his passing and work rate.

Pyramids announced the transfer on Saturday, adding a veteran midfield presence as they chase continental glory and domestic silverware.

Punchline 1: If Hamdan's through balls were bullets, the defense would duck. Punchline 2: When it comes to assists, this sniper's aim is always on target.
