Phone Call Heist: Noor Claims He Tried to Snatch Hilal's Winter Signing
19 January 2026
The Boss swoops again, this time snagging a Gulf star from a legend's grasp.
What Noor revealed
Mohammed Noor, former Al-Ittihad star, spoke about a winter move by his arch-rivals Al-Hilal. Hilal announced four winter signings: Pablo Mari (Fiorentina), Sultan Mandesh (Al-Taawoun), Murad Hosawi, and Ryan Al-Dosari.
He said he tried to obtain Murad Hosawi’s number to call him and persuade him to join Al-Ittihad, but the next day he learned the move had already gone to Al-Hilal.
The league race
He added that he wished to talk but couldn't because Hilal moved quickly, and he suspects Al-Ittihad may have sealed his brother's deal without disclosing details.
He argued Hilal is the best option for Saudi players, and the team lacks a right-back. On the title race, Noor named Hilal as closest to the crown, ahead of Nasr, Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad, Qadisiyah, and Taawoun, citing stability and strong management.
Punchline: If the transfer window were a sniper duel, Hilal would always hit. Noor's phone bill would thank him later.
