PSG Star in a Legal Storm: Allegations of Human Trafficking Shake Versailles
21 January 2026
Overview and Timeline
Prosecutors in Versailles have charged Lucas Hernandez of Paris Saint-Germain and his wife Victoria Triay with human trafficking and exploiting workers tied to a Colombian family.
This follows a report published by Paris Match on Wednesday.
Between September 2024 and November 2025, a father, his wife, and their three children worked for the couple without residence permits and with very long hours.
Prosecutors say they worked for over a year without contracts or permits, with weekly hours ranging from 72 to 84, performing security, cleaning, cooking and childcare.
According to the complaint, none of the five workers were registered in the social security system, there were no pay slips, and payments were made in cash. Lola Dubois, the plaintiffs' lawyer, told Paris Match that the absence of contracts and social security contributions reveals the hidden intent behind the crime.
Details, Reactions, and Next Steps
In February 2025, the workers signed secret agreements despite lacking formal contracts, and they allegedly obtained forged Spanish documents to legalize their status.
The complaint also mentions a December 2024 incident in which men from Hernandez's family allegedly used firearms and knives during a home invasion.
Surveillance footage obtained by Paris Match supports part of this account.
The Colombian family says it faced pressure and intimidation, and since November 2025 none of its members has worked for the Paris star’s household.
In a call with Hernandez's agent, Paris Match reported that the player and his wife were unaware of the complaint and are puzzled by the charges.
The Versailles prosecutor's office is actively investigating the case.
Punchline 1: If football taught us anything, it’s that a defense can be as strong as a corner kick when the paperwork is missing. Rally the crowd, not the lawyers!
Punchline 2: Looks like someone forgot to sign the contract to win the transfer market of life — may the best alibi win the day.
