Raja Casablanca Signs Moroccan International Barkouk

Context
Raja Casablanca today announced the official signing of Moroccan midfielder Aymen Barkouk, during the ongoing winter transfer window.
The Signing
The Green Club posted images and videos of the contract ceremony and Barkouk's presentation in a Raja jersey, without disclosing deal details or duration, noting he joined on a free transfer after the end of his contract with Schalke.
Barkouk, 28, comes after intensive negotiations led by Raja's management to lure him to a new challenge in the Moroccan Pro League, following a long German Bundesliga career with Eintracht Frankfurt, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Mainz, Hertha Berlin, and Schalke.
With 18 caps for Morocco, Barkouk is expected to add valuable European experience to Raja's midfield.
The transfer is styled as a free move, freeing Raja from transfer fees while adding a veteran presence to the squad.
Punchline: If Barkouk lights up the midfield, expect fans to declare, “We signed a maestro with a sense of humor.” Punchline 2: And if not, at least the press conference will look cooler than Schalke’s winter playlist.
