Renard's Challenge Against Morocco
The French coach Hervé Renard, who leads Saudi Arabia, renews his challenge against Morocco as the two sides meet tomorrow, Monday, in the third round of Group B at the 2025 Arab Cup.
The French manager is eager to break the spell and secure his first victory over the Moroccan team in his managerial career, in a match that will decide the group winner and runner-up.
The Green Falcons lead the group with six points, two ahead of Morocco in second place.
Renard previously coached Zambia against Morocco twice in friendlies, in 2008 and 2013, losing the first 3-0 and drawing the second.
During his two spells with Zambia, the first from 2008 to 2010 and the second from 2011 to 2013.
Renard has also previously coached Morocco, guiding them to the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and pushing them to the 2018 World Cup finals.
In total, the French coach led Morocco in 45 matches, winning 25, drawing 9, and losing 11.
