Rodrygo eyeing first appearance under Arbeloa against Villarreal
Real Madrid continued training at Valdebebas ahead of Saturday's match against Villarreal at La Ceramica, scheduled for 9:00 PM local time. Coach Álvaro Arbeloa will be able to call up Brazilian Rodrygo, who has returned to training with the rest of the squad, and is expected to feature for the first time under the new manager.
Although his starting role seems unlikely, he offers an additional attacking option.
Rodrygo has not yet been able to feature for the team since Arbeloa took charge, due to an injury he suffered in the Saudi Super Cup, which also kept him out of the coach's first Copa del Rey game against Albacete.
The other good news for the manager is Asensio's return to training, which allows him to be part of the Villarreal match.
With Militao out injured, and Chouaméni suspended, and continuing doubts about Rudiger, the presence of the young Asensio is important to strengthen the back line alongside Hussein.
