The Saudi content creator and influencer Mufleh Asiri, known as Darbha, will participate in the King’s League Nations Cup for national teams, hosted in Sao Paulo, Brazil from January 3 to 17, representing Saudi Arabia on the world stage.
Darbha's selection follows his 2025 season MVP win in the King’s League for the Middle East and North Africa region, highlighting the growing Saudi talent within the King’s League ecosystem and the modern blend of football, content creation, and audience engagement.
Darbha expressed pride and responsibility in leading the Saudi squad in the tournament, saying the trust is a great honor and a heavier duty for the nation.
“Leading the Saudi team is a great honor and a national duty,” he said, adding that representing the kingdom at a global tournament against strong nations and dedicated fans requires double effort and unwavering commitment. This is not just a symbolic presence; it’s about hard work and showing Saudi Arabia’s place in world sport.”
He added that the team enters the tournament with a competitive mindset and comprehensive readiness across technical, mental, and tactical levels, saying that preparations focus on boosting player cohesion, trying more than one playing style to suit match needs, and maintaining the mental readiness demanded by the tournament’s quick tempo. “We aim to play an attacking style based on pressing and swift transitions, making Saudi a tough team to face and meeting the fans’ aspirations for a respectable, competitive showing.”
He noted that Saudi will compete in the group stage with India, Mexico, and Indonesia, emphasizing that the phase requires high focus and full readiness to meet challenges and satisfy Saudi fans.
The King’s League for nations is one of the league’s premier events for national teams, played as seven-a-side, founded by football star Gerard Pique, featuring a mix of content creators and footballers from around the world, with wide attendance and media coverage.
The tournament also features several world football stars in organizational and honorary roles, with Brazilian star Ronaldo Nazário serving as president, while Kaká participates as president of the King’s League in Brazil, in leadership and promotional roles, with further attendance details to follow.
Saudi Arabia’s participation comes amid growing interest in modern, entertainment-oriented sports competitions that broaden the kingdom’s global footprint and showcase national talent in events that blend sport, innovation, and fan interaction.
