Saudi Pro League targets Barcelona's Marc Casado
The Saudi Pro League has set its sights on Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado, signaling a lucrative proposal for next season.
Casado, 22, is viewed as a potential addition by Saudi sides, while he remains focused on helping Barcelona win La Liga and the Champions League.
Despite not starting as often as last season, several clubs are eager to sign the academy graduate from Sant Pere de Vilamajor, 22 years old.
Last summer, he drew interest from the Premier League and Atlético Madrid; now reports say Saudi offers are on the table for next season, per Mundo Deportivo.
However, sources close to him indicate he currently has no intention of leaving Barça; his priority remains helping the club win the La Liga title and the Champions League.
This season he has appeared 29 times, totalling 1,276 minutes across all competitions.
Barcelona renewed his contract in June 2024, extending it to 2028 and setting a 100 million euro buyout.
With other clubs monitoring his situation, Casado will assess all offers after the season ends and decide his next step.
The saga leaves Barça fans hoping for continuity, Saudi fans hoping for big salaries, and rivals hoping for a future where Casado plays for everyone but them.
Meanwhile, Barça hope he stays, Saudi clubs hope he smiles; the ball, as always, remains heavier than the transfer rumors.
Stay tuned for dramatic negotiations ahead.
