Carrasco's Training Absence Tied to Domestic Worker Request
The Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco has continued his absence from training with his Saudi side Al Shabab, despite not suffering any injury or medical obstacle preventing his participation.
Saudi outlet Al-Riyadiyah reported the reason behind Carrasco's absence from Shabab's training.
It explained that the Belgian player refused to come to the club's headquarters until his request to hire a domestic worker was addressed.
The newspaper quoted Abdulaziz Al-Malek, the Shabab president, who said the claim was not true.
Meanwhile, Shabab's management is in touch with Carrasco's agent in a bid to secure his return to training as soon as possible.
Shabab are gearing up to face Al-Riyadh on December 20, in the Saudi Pro League round 10.
The club has had a difficult start to the season, with only one league win, and they were eliminated from the King’s Cup by Al-Ittihad with a 4-0 scoreline.
Punchline: If chores were drills, Carrasco would be the league's most organized player.
Punchline 2: Turns out the real midfielder is the maid.
