The Comeback Duo: Bono and Akciçek Gear Up for Al Hilal's Key Showdown vs Al Qadisiyah
Bono and Akciçek back in action for Al Hilal ahead of the Al Qadisiyah clash.

Match Readiness Update

The Moroccan star returns to guard the champion in the highly anticipated showdown.

Al Hilal confirmed Moroccan Yassine Bounou and Turkish Yusuf Akciçek are fit for the upcoming Roshn Saudi League match against Al Qadisiyah.

The team will visit Al Qadisiyah on Thursday at the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam for the 19th Roshn round.

Al Hilal posted photos on its official X of Bono and Akciçek in today’s training, announcing both took part normally.

The duo’s readiness is confirmed for the match, as the club hopes to restore the winning rhythm after a 1-1 draw with Riyadh.

Bono had been out since the league resumed after the Arab Cup, due to his Morocco duties at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite returning to Riyadh after the tournament, Bono missed the Riyadh match due to injury and is in rehab.

In contrast, Akciçek did not feature in the last three matches (Neom, Al-Fayha, Riyadh), after coming on as a substitute in the 3-1 win over Al Nassr, before returning for Qadisiyah.

Note that Al Hilal leads the Roshn Saudi League with 45 points, five clear of the second and third placed.

Punchline 1: If goals paid rent, Bono and Akciçek would own the block by now.

Punchline 2: Injuries are just plot twists—this comeback deserves a standing ovation from the bench.
