TRIONDA Unveiled: Adidas’s Tri-Nation Ball for World Cup 2026 Steals the Spotlight
3 octobre 2025

Design and symbolism
Adidas unveiled the official ball for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Dubbed TRIONDA, a nod to tri waves and the three host nations, the ball bears the red, green, and blue of the hosts as a visual tribute.
The four-piece construction delivers high performance and a fluid, wave-inspired surface; panels join in a central triangular arrangement to symbolize the three countries uniting for the first time.
Host-country symbols are subtly integrated on the panels, including a US star, a Canadian maple leaf, and a Mexican eagle, creating texture up close.
Gold accents honor the World Cup and other refined design touches complete the look.
Technology and performance
TRIONDA also features Adidas Connected Ball Technology with a new side-strip system and a 500 Hz IMU sensor placed in one of the four parts, balanced by weights in the other three to keep stability in flight.
Data from the ball is fed to refereeing systems to help decisions on offsides when combined with player location data and AI scanning for faster calls.
Developed with Kinexon, the Connected Ball records every touch, reducing the time needed to resolve close calls such as potential hand touches.
Sam Handy, Adidas Football’s General Manager, says: The ball’s engraved details and bold colors give it an instantly lively presence and a tangible feel in your hands.
Soline Storman adds: For the first time, the World Cup will be hosted by three countries, so we designed a ball that fits the moment—one you can play with anywhere, from backyard to the biggest stage.
TRIONDA is set to be a centerpiece of the summer tournament, and Adidas hopes fans and players will enjoy moments that feel special and unforgettable.

Punchline 1: This ball spins with the precision of a sniper—calibrated, precise, and ready to rhyme with “goal.”
Punchline 2: If your team misses, blame gravity and the ball’s new tech; at least the ball looks good doing it.
