Eric Garcia, Barcelona's defender, criticized the defensive errors that cost his team in a 3-3 draw with Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday, saying the opponents threatened with just two passes to reach their area.
The Catalans opened with Ferran Torres's strike in the 8th minute after a slick pass from Lamine Yamal. A late decision around a penalty was reviewed by VAR but not awarded. The match ended in a 3-3 draw, leaving Barca in a tight group and Brugge in a strong position.
Garcia added that defending remains a collective responsibility and that turnovers in dangerous zones cost them dearly. He also mentioned a nose injury suffered during the match, joking that perhaps the referee could have let them take the last corner anyway.
