Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, head coach of Al Hilal, directed criticism at his players despite the big win over Al Najmah. The team secured a 4-0 victory on Friday at Kingdom Arena in round 25 of the Saudi Pro League.

Despite the result, Inzaghi spoke post-match about missed opportunities, noting the delay in doubling the lead until the 81st minute and stressing the need for sharper finishing.

In his remarks carried by the Saudi newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, he said, We scored the first goal in the first half and aimed to add more, but we were not successful.

He added that the second goal could have arrived earlier and emphasized improving the final touch in attack for upcoming matches.

In the second half, we scored three goals, and the delay came from not converting the second goal earlier.

He also pointed out that Al Najmah have improved recently and defended more solidly after a red card was shown, making the game tougher than it looked on the scoreboard.

Inzaghi closed by praising the team’s defensive stability and noting we miss several players such as Ruben Neves, Nasser Al-Dosari, Hassan Tambakti, and Yusuf Aktsichik.
