Rising Stars Elevate to the First Team
The White Team promotes nine academy players to the first team.
The Zamalek technical staff, led by Ahmed Abdel-Roof, held a meeting with players before Friday’s training at the Military College Stadium, as part of preparations for the Cairo Capital Cup, where the White team will face Ismailia Electric on December 9.
Promoted Youths and Training Focus
The coaching staff also continued promoting promising youngsters from the academy to reinforce the first team, and Abdel-Roof decided to promote nine players: Ziad Medhat, Mohamed Abd El-Fattah, Hesham Fouad, Youssef Al-Tabakh, Mohamed Ibrahim (right-back), Anas Wail, Youssef Wail, Mohamed Hamid, and Ahmed Safwat.
Abdel-Roof focused on technical aspects during today’s training, while the players began with a conditioning session at the outset, under the guidance of load coach Nuno Costa Ribeiro.
Punchline: If nine academy stars spark this much energy, the trophy cabinet may need a bigger door. Stay tuned—the bench might soon be hiring a second boot for the ride.
