Venue change and kickoff details
The Egyptian Clubs Association has decided to move the highly anticipated Zamalek vs Zed showdown, part of the Capital Cup, to Al Salam Stadium instead of the Al Mokawloon Al Arab venue.
The kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 PM this coming Sunday, in Cairo's Capital Cup fixture.
Training notes and player returns
Zamalek players opened training on Thursday with a fitness block at the Military College Stadium.
The conditioning coach, Nuno Costa Ribeiro, supervised varied drills and a ball-focused session.
Ahead of that, the coaching staff led by Moataz Gamal split players into groups to work on tactical aspects, with constant guidance from the staff.
At the end, the players played a tactical scrimmage to implement what was trained.
Palestinian Adam Kaid and Ahmed Abdul Rahim Isho were integrated into the group training after recovering from injuries that had sidelined them; Kaid had a muscle strain, while Isho suffered a groin injury.
Medical staff confirmed their readiness for the team's next full training session today.
