Transfer details
Ajax Amsterdam announced on Wednesday the signing of Swedish left winger Maxmilian Ibrahimovic, Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s son.
Maxmilian (19) joined Ajax on loan from Milan until the end of the season, with an option to buy.
Path to Ajax
He is following in his father's footsteps, leaving Sweden to Ajax, and from there moving to one of Europe's premier clubs.
Maxmilian began his career at Hammarby in Sweden's youth ranks, before joining Milan's youth system. He has appeared for Milan's reserve team this season in 17 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 4 assists.
He was named in Milan's first-team squad for the Italian Super Cup against Napoli, but did not feature.
Ajax currently sits third in the Dutch league with 33 points.
There was also a capsule linking to a KNVB Cup match between AZ Alkmaar and Ajax scheduled for January 14, 2026 at 21:00.
Punchline 1: If goals were bullets, Maxmilian just loaded up—Ajax's defense, you're toast.
Punchline 2: The apple didn’t fall far from the Swedish tree—the loan is signed, and the shot could be coming from the family gun.
