Al Ahly Eyes Two Forwards in January Shake-Up: Kamovich Among Targets
4 January 2026
Transfer Window Strategy
The Al Ahly management has drawn up a plan to bolster the Reds’ attack during the current winter transfer window, responding to Danish coach Jess Thorup.
Thorup has asked for two forwards of different ages, doubting Mohamed Sherif and Slovenian Nejc Gradišar, and noting the departure of Hamza Abdel Karim to Barcelona.
An Ahly source told Koora they are negotiating with two forwards to sign one.
Targeted Forward Kamovich
One of the players is Kamovich, a Tromsø striker with dual nationality.
He added that Kamovich is among the options and that a second striker is also being negotiated; a decision will come within two days.
An Ahly source emphasized that the club will not settle for a veteran and will reinforce with a forward.
Punchlines: If Ahly signs both forwards, the goal net might develop a stronger backache from all the net-busting. And if rumors were a sport, January would already crown a transfer champion.
