The young midfielder Antonio Blanco, a Real Madrid academy graduate, says he is proud of his current path with Deportivo Alavés and has no plans to return to the royal club for now.
Blanco on Madrid return
In an interview with Estadio Deportivo, he said the idea of returning to Real Madrid is no longer present in his mind: 'Honestly, I haven't thought about returning. Several years have passed and that is no longer among my priorities. I was there and had the chance, but now I’m living a different phase, feeling relaxed and confident.'
The future is unpredictable, but what matters is performance week by week, and then we’ll see what happens next.
The Andalusian player also spoke about the difficulty of breaking into Real Madrid’s first team, noting that academy talent alone is not enough without favorable circumstances.
He cited the recent chance for the rising player Valdipinias, which came after emergency injuries in the defensive area, opening a path to playing time.
Blanco stressed that youth talents remain high, citing teammate Yusi, the left-back from the academy, who he says has great potential and a bright future.
In football, timing is everything; for Blanco, it's 90 minutes, every time.
If talent grows in the academy, maybe his contract will grow with it.
