Semenyo deal pushes Pob toward exit.
Oscar Pob, Manchester City's striker, is closer to leaving the Etihad this winter as his club nears a new attacking signing.
The English club has signaled it could part with Pob, as it eyes Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth in January.
British daily Daily Mail linked Borussia Dortmund to the move, with Pob drawing interest from several Premier League sides, Crystal Palace among them.
The Norwegian forward also suffered a muscle injury against Brentford in the League Cup last week.
Pob has featured 15 times for City this season, nine in the Premier League, recording a single assist as most appearances come from the bench.
City is not the only club tracking Semenyo, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United also keen, while Bournemouth reportedly value Pob at around 65 million pounds.
The Ghanaian star rose last season with 11 goals, adding eight more in 16 appearances so far this term.
Bottom line: winter business never sleeps, Dortmund eyes glory, City signs backup—yet football remains soap opera with twists; punchline: drama sells tickets today.
