Dubai Training Sparks Return of Ittihad's Midfield
Ittihad Jeddah's midfield regained its spark as Abdel Aziz Al-Beishi was declared fit after missing the last three matches with injury.
According to the Saudi daily Al-Riyadiyah, Al-Beishi said he is ready to return, taking part in the squad's Dubai camp this morning ahead of a friendly 6-0 win over Pal City, a UAE second‑tier side.
The club is set to finish the camp with a match against Gulf United, who play in the UAE First Division, next Sunday.
Malian midfielder Mamadou Doumbia also joined the squad in this camp after coming back from an injury suffered against Al Shabab in the King's Cup quarterfinals.
Coach Sergio Conceicao's men are now preparing to host Al-Hazm at their stadium, in the tenth round of the Roshen Pro League.
Ittihad Jeddah sit on 14 points, seventh in the standings, level on goal difference with Al Khaleej ahead of the December 20 meeting.
Punchline 1: Even the offside line could use a coffee break when this midfield is working at peak accuracy.
Punchline 2: If precision were bullets, this squad would need a bigger helmet—don’t worry, we’re aiming for goals, not trouble.
