Egypt Handball Names 19-Player Roster for Africa Championship in Rwanda

Spanish coach Roberto Garcia Pascual, head coach of the Egypt men\'s handball team, announced the official squad for the Africa Championship to be held in Rwanda.
The tournament runs from January 21 to 31 this year, and Egypt is in Group A with Angola, Gabon, and Uganda.
Pascual selected 19 players to travel to Rwanda for the competition: Mohamed Ali, Mohamed Al Tayar, Abdulrahman Hamid as goalkeepers; Akram Yousry, Mohamed Oka, Ahmed Hisham SiSa, Mohamed Moamen Safa, Yahya Khaled, Mahab Said, Ali Zein, Ahmed Hisham Dodo, Nabil Sharif, Hisham Salah, Ibrahim Al Masri, Ahmed Adel, Yasser Saif, Mohamed Abdel Aziz Gedo, Yehia El Der, Seif El Der.
The squad also undergoes several changes from the last edition after the departure of notable names including goalkeeper Karim Hendawy, Hassan Kadah, Abdulrahman Faisal, Ahmed Kheri, Mazen Rida, Khaled Waleed, and Mohamed Mamdouh.
Egypt has won the continental title nine times and claimed the last three editions in 2020, 2022, and 2024.
