A free transfer shines for five clubs, led by Juventus.
A press report on Monday revealed Juventus's desire to sign one of Barcelona's former players.
Juventus is targeting strengthening their defense by signing Spanish centre-back Oscar Mingueza, a former Barcelona player now at Celta Vigo.
Fabrizio Romano, the European transfer expert, says Juventus are among five clubs interested in bringing Mingueza on a free deal next summer, as his contract runs out at Balaídos.
Romano added that Celta Vigo might be open to selling him in January if the money is right, especially since Barcelona would receive 50% of the deal value.
Mingueza's contract with Celta Vigo runs until the end of this season, making him available to sign for any team on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old has appeared 21 times this season, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
Mingueza joined Celta Vigo in summer 2022, after leaving Barcelona.
That deal is so free, even my calendar wants a cut.
If this signing happens, Juventus will finally master the art of getting value for nothing.
