One Plane, Two Stars: Alcaraz and Sinner Touch Down in Melbourne Ahead of the Australian Open

Arrival and Training in Melbourne
A fresh display of the cordial chemistry between Alcaraz and Sinner ahead of the Australian Open.
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have already arrived in Melbourne, where they kicked off their first training session on the blue courts at Melbourne Park.
These courts are very different from the artificial surface they faced on Saturday in the charity match in Korea.
Shared Journey and Next Steps
In a new gesture reflecting their good rapport and competitive spirit, Alcaraz and Sinner shared a single private plane that carried both teams to Victoria's capital.
The flight from Seoul took about 11 hours, covering roughly 8,600 kilometers.
Past Encounters and Upcoming Coach
This is not the first time the Spaniard and the Italian have shared the trip; a similar photo was taken on October 4, 2024 after the Beijing final (500-point event) won by Alcaraz, with their destination then Shanghai for the Masters, according to Marca.
After unloading their bags at their lodging, the pair headed straight to Melbourne Park for their first workout. For world No. 1, Alcaraz, practice took place on Rod Laver Arena, the main court of the complex.
And Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime is set to be the first coaching partner for the six-time Grand Slam champion on Monday. Aliassime had taken part on Sunday in the official opening ceremony of the Australian Open, with one week to go until the start of the competition.
And yes, the plane had a first-class serve.
Some flights are delayed; this one delivered a straight drop.
