Morocco Won’t Gamble on a Draw Against Saudi Arabia
Tarik Sektioui, Morocco's head coach at the Arab Cup, said his team will not gamble on a draw with Saudi Arabia.
The Moroccans face Saudi Arabia the day after tomorrow (Monday) in the final group match.
A draw would take Morocco through, but Sektioui stressed there are no guarantees in football.
Saudi Arabia tops the group with 6 points; Morocco have 4.
Sektioui said Morocco earned a precious point against Oman; qualification now lies with his players.
We will not play for a draw against Saudi Arabia; nothing is guaranteed in football.
I trust our players and we will try to win to finish top.
Victory would set up a knockout with confidence and a better mood in the locker room.
Sniper punchline 1: Our aim is the target, not the draw.
Sniper punchline 2: If precision wins games, Sektioui will hit the back of the net.
