Transfer Saga: Tunisian Striker Targets Al Ahly
The Tunisian forward Mohamed Ali Ben Hamouda, star of Belouizdad, has entered Al Ahly's sights as the winter transfer window opens.
Al Ahly is looking to sign a foreign striker to strengthen the squad in this window.
According to well-placed sources, Hamouda is a strong candidate, with his representatives in talks with club officials about a possible deal.
He is under contract with Belouizdad until 2028 after arriving from Ghazl El Mahalla, and previously played for Espérance de Tunis.
This season he has six goals in 17 appearances for Belouizdad.
Belouizdad reportedly sent the second installment of his transfer fee to Ghazl Mahalla after filing a FIFA complaint over delayed payments.
Mahalla would receive 20 percent of any future resale.
The club's move to sign Hamouda would spice up a winter window for Egyptian football—headline caffeine.
