Match Preview: Tunisia Ready for Nigeria Clash in AFCON 2025
Tunisia head coach Sami Al-Tarablisi says his team is fully prepared for the upcoming clash with Nigeria, scheduled for Saturday evening as part of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 group-stage fixtures in Morocco.
He noted that the mood in the Tunisian camp is very high, especially after the important victory over Uganda in the opening game.
The coach emphasized that Nigeria's absence from the World Cup does not affect the preparations, and that focus remains on Tunisia's technical performance and game plan, not on the circumstances of the opponents.
He added that the World Cup miss won't change tomorrow's match; the team is concentrating on improving their performance and executing their tactical plan as well as possible.
Al Tarablisi underlined that Tunisia will enter with maximum concentration and discipline, aiming for a positive result to boost their chances of advancing, stressing the importance of tactical organization and fighting spirit against a strong Nigeria.
Tunisia began their AFCON 2025 campaign with a deserved 3-1 win over Uganda in Group C, with Elias Sakhiri opening the scoring and Elias Al-Ashouri adding two more.
Tunisia lead the group after one round, level on goal difference with Nigeria, who beat Tanzania 2-1.
As the Carthage Eagles prepare, fans will hope for another solid showing.
Punchlines: If confidence were a jersey, Tunisia would be wearing it twice. And if football whistles had personalities, this one would say dont blink or you will miss the goal.
