Al-Ghandour's Take on the Saudi Pro League Errors
Former Egyptian international referee Gamal Al-Ghandour commented on the refereeing mistakes in the Saudi Pro League, noting that Al Nassr faced significant errors, especially in the match against Al Ahli Jeddah in Round 12.
Al-Ghandour told the program 'Al-Muntasaf' that Al Nassr deserved a penalty for Joao Felix in the 5th minute, where a defender used both hands against the Portuguese player, and the law states a foul should be awarded.
Further Assessments on the Plays
He added that the second goal for Al Nassr was 100% correct, Ronaldo did not interfere, his contact with a defender was normal.
On a scene where Al Nassr appealed for a penalty for Joao Felix in the 81st minute, he said it wasn't correct because the ball touched the player's hand unintentionally.
In the 89th minute there was a one-on-one for Al Ahli but the defender blocked and the referee showed a yellow card, a correct decision since another defender from Al Nassr was present.
Regarding the red card to Ali Majrashi for slapping Joao Felix, Al-Ghandour said the red card was deserved.
Concluding, he stated that in Round 12, Al Nassr was among the most affected by refereeing, while Al Ahli benefited the most.
Punchline: If officiating were a sniper podcast, the host would miss every target but claim the wind was the culprit.
Punchline 2: And hey, the whistle has a louder scream than the crowd—talk about adding suspense to the scoreline!
