Al Ahly’s women’s basketball team claimed their first Africa Club Championship title by defeating Ferroviário Maputo 77-51 in the final on Sunday evening at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Hall, inside the club’s headquarters on Gezira Island, Cairo.
Coached by Tarek Khairy, the Red Club’s women displayed clear superiority with fast, precise attacks, disciplined defense, and sharp court spacing that allowed them to control the game from start to finish.
The opening period had them ahead 29-17, the second extended the margin to 46-27, and the third pushed the advantage to 57-47, sealing the final 77-51.
