Al-Ittihad Rebuilds Squad: Two Players Depart as Bench Takes Center Stage
Al-Ittihad reshuffles its squad as the season unfolds.

Club reshuffle at Al-Ittihad

The club's technical committee at Al-Ittihad Jeddah has decided not to renew the contracts of two players, amid their limited playing time with the Yellow and Black recently.

The club will keep the pair, Awwad Al-Nashri and Abdulaziz Al-Beishi, until their contracts end at season's close, with no extra steps planned about their futures ahead anyway.

So far this season, Al-Nashri has appeared in six matches across different competitions, totaling 209 minutes, while Al-Beishi has played only two games for 21 minutes, with no goal involvement from either.

The club had also announced the renewal of winger Abdulrahman Al-Aboud to keep him in the squad until summer 2027 anyway.

This cycle of renewal comes as the team endures a fluctuating season, especially in the Saudi Pro League where the defending champions have slipped to seventh with 14 points, while the AFC Champions League group stage mirrors this slide at eighth with six points from five matches.
