Brazilian Bid for Ittihad Star Falters: Fabinho's Future in Question
Fabinho's future with Al-Ittihad remains uncertain amid transfer chatter.

Transfer bid and status

Palmeiras, the Brazilian club, attempted to sign Fabinho, the star of Al-Ittihad, but their bid failed, according to a press report.

Turkish transfer journalist Akram Konur said on Wednesday that Palmeiras had sought to sign Fabinho, but negotiations with the player did not advance.

Konur added, via his X account, that a return to the Brazilian league is not in the midfielder's plans, whose contract with Al-Ittihad runs until the end of the season.

And the club has not taken any serious steps yet to renew Fabinho's contract, even though the former Liverpool player has regained much of his form.

Career background

Fabinho joined Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023, coming from Liverpool after his contract ended, in a deal reportedly worth 40 million pounds.

In 83 appearances for the club, Fabinho has scored 5 goals and provided 7 assists.

At the Brazilian league level, Fabinho played for Flamengo before moving to Real Madrid's youth system, then Monaco, and from there to Liverpool.

Looks like Fabinho's agent is already drafting a better contract.

Transfer gossip: louder than my notifications after a goal.
