Surgery and Recovery

Yazan Al-Naimat, Jordan’s rising star, underwent a successful ACL surgery on Wednesday at Aspetar in Doha after tearing his ACL during the AFC Arab Cup 2025 quarterfinal against Iraq.

The procedure was supervised by one of the world’s leading ACL specialists and went smoothly.

He is now in an intensive rehabilitation program designed to have him ready for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which begins in June across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Al-Arabi, the club he represents in Qatar, backs his comeback as he targets a swift return to action for both club and country.

World Cup 2026 Roadmap

Jordan qualified for a World Cup for the first time in its history under Moroccan coach Jamal Al-Salami, a historic milestone celebrated by the nation.

The team is also preparing for the 2025 Arab Cup final against Morocco after topping Group C with a perfect record and beating Iraq and Saudi Arabia 1-0.
