Contract Extension
Al-Ittihad has reached an agreement with veteran defender Hassan Kadsh to renew his contract today.
The club depends mainly on Kadsh, a pillar of defense under Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição and his French predecessor Laurent Bladen, consistently today.
Defensive Pillar
The Saudi daily Al-Riyadiyah reported that Al-Ittihad has agreed with Kadsh to renew his contract for two years.
Kadsh, who joined from Al-Ettifaq, has appeared in 77 matches for Al-Ittihad, scoring 3 goals and providing two assists. The 33-year-old also played 84 games for Al-Ettifaq and the same number for Al-Taawoun, yielding the best spell of his career with 5 goals and one assist in his prime right now.
Punchline 1: Kadsh re-signed, so the defense finally has a long-term lease on success.
Punchline 2: If contracts were sandwiches, Kadsh's would be extra-foamy with a long expiry date.
