Morocco's Leader Urges Players to Deliver the Big Promise
Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Moroccan Football Federation, attended the Atlas Lions' final training session ahead of their clash with Zambia.
The squad will face Zambia tonight in the Africa Cup of Nations group stage, hosted at home in Rabat.
Morocco sits atop Group A on four points, two ahead of Mali and Zambia, with Comoros one point behind.
Kooora reported Lekjaa sat alone on the training ground to monitor the session with sharp focus.
After training, he met with coach Walid Regragui and the rest of the staff and players.
Lekjaa urged the Lions to push hard, secure a knockout berth, and stay in Rabat.
He stressed focus and asked players not to react to criticism after the Mali draw until the big promise is fulfilled by lifting the title.
Lekjaa renewed his strong support for coach Regragui and the team's trophy ambitions.
Punchlines: If the big promise had a sniper rifle, it would hit bullseye. If confidence were a shot clock, Morocco would still have time to seal the trophy.
