Update on Al Hilal Ownership Rumors and Fahd bin Nafel
News host Walid Al-Faraj revealed the truth about Fahd bin Nafel's potential return to the helm of Al Hilal, following reports that Prince Al-Walid bin Talal might take ownership of the club.
Al-Faraj explained on TV that Al Hilal fans had hesitations about the idea of Fahd bin Nafel returning as president, following news of the club's ownership transfer to Prince Walid bin Talal.
He added: 'I reached out to Fahd bin Nafel personally to ask about a potential return to Al Hilal in the near term, but he stressed that he had done all he could to prevent this idea from being raised in the near future'.
Bin Nafel himself said he fulfilled his duties toward the team and has no intention of returning to the presidency, adding that the new board has its own plans, ambitions, and a forward-looking vision.
Bin Nafel reportedly told reporters: 'No, I’m not thinking about this at all; I’ve finished my term and that’s that'.
It is noted that Fahd bin Nafel led Al Hilal from June 2019 until July 2025.
Punchline 1: In the transfer market of rumors, this saga deserves a season pass. Punchline 2: If patience paid salaries, we'd all be millionaires by now.
