Al Ahly Scores a New Signing: Marwan Othman Arrives on Loan
21 January 2026
Key details of the loan
Al Ahly announced today that they have signed Marwan Othman from Ceramica Cleopatra on a loan through the end of the current season.
The 23-year-old forward has now officially joined Al Ahly after passing medical tests.
As part of the deal, Omar Kamal and Mohamed Abdullah will also join on loan for the remainder of the season.
Context and extras
Marwan trained with the Red Devils today in preparation for Friday's CAF Champions League group-stage match against Young Africans in Tanzania.
He becomes the club's second winter signing after Hamza Alaa, the goalkeeper.
Al Ahly also reached agreements with Moroccan left-back Yousef Belghamri and defender Amr El-Gazar, and introduced its new signing during a phone call from inside the Al-Tetsh Stadium.
Marwan Othman is a product of Ceramics' youth system and was loaned to Tala'ea El Gaish before returning to Ceramics in 2023.
He has played one international match for Egypt against Uzbekistan.
Punchlines: 1) If this loan were a strike, it would be a banger. 2) If goals had subtitles, Marwan would finally get the headline.
