Injury cloud over Al-Dosri ahead of Al Hilal vs Al Taawon
Saudi star Salim Al-Dosri has delivered a fresh setback to fans as Al Hilal prepare for their Roshen Saudi Pro League clash with Al Taawon.
The club will host the Taawon match on Saturday at Kingdom Arena, in the 27th round of the league.
According to the Saudi newspaper Okaz, Al-Dosri will not be able to take part, as he remains far from full recovery from the knee injury he suffered earlier this season.
Is he set for the AFC Champions League?
The same report notes that the team is only training him for the AFC Champions League last-16 tie with Qatar's Al-Sadd on April 13 at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal City Stadium.
Earlier reports suggested he could return against Al-Taawon, but the latest update contradicts that possibility.
Throughout the season, Al-Dosri has appeared in 27 matches for Al-Hilal, scoring 8 goals and delivering 10 assists.

In a twist, the club is keeping a careful eye on his knee as they balance league duties with Asian commitments.
Punchline time: If injuries had transfer windows, this one would be red-carded from the calendar. And if patience were a jersey, fans would wear it with pride while waiting for the reboot of Al-Dosri’s knee—subtitle: “On loan from gravity, back soon.”
