Al-Hilal Welcomes Back Metab Al-Harbi
Al Hilal have regained the services of wing-back Metab Al-Harbi ahead of the Saudi Pro League restart following the Arab Cup in Qatar.
The club announced on its official X account that Al-Harbi has rejoined the group after completing a rehabilitation program to recover from his injury.
Injury, Recovery and Next Opponent
Al-Harbi sustained the injury in the league clash on November 7, round eight.
The absence kept him out of matches vs Al-Fateh in round nine, the King Cup quarterfinal, and Al-Shorta in Asia.
He is expected to be ready for action when the league resumes on the 19th, as Al-Hilal hosts Al-Taawoun in Round 10. Italian coach Simone Inzaghi will rely on him on the right, as Cancelo isn’t locally registered and Hamad Al-Yami is injured.
Since the start of the season the 25-year-old has appeared in 12 games across competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
His pace and crossing could help widen the attack as the team chase more silverware this season.
Punchline 1: If his crosses miss, at least the corner flag will applaud.
Punchline 2: If nothing else, his return proves the crossbar misses him too—just kidding, he still hits the target sometimes.
