January window drama: Al-Nassr sticks to Salem Al-Najdi
Al-Nassr has rejected loan proposals from Neom and Al-Ahli for left-back Salem Al-Najdi during the current winter window.
Context, minutes, and the pecking order
The 22-year-old began his career with Al-Fateh, making 46 appearances before joining Al-Nassr on 15 August 2024. He has not established himself as a regular in the squad, with competition from teammates and recent arrivals limiting his playing time.
According to Al-Riyadiya and other local outlets, the club rejected the loan offers due to weak financial terms, preferring to keep the player under contract and explore other value options for now.
In the current season, Al-Najdi has appeared in 8 matches, totaling 205 minutes on the pitch.
Coach Jorge Jesus has leaned toward other options for the left-back position, leaving the player’s future in January open and unsettled.
Punchline time: If this transfer saga were a sniper, it’d still be hunting for a target that’s already signed elsewhere. And my coffee is hotter than the negotiation talks—which is to say, not very.
