Transfer details
Barcelona has officially signed Hamza Abdel Karim from Al Ahly on loan until 30 June 2026, with an option to buy.
In an official statement, Barça said they had reached an agreement with Al Ahly for the loan, including a future purchase option for the Catalan club at the end of the season.
He will join Barca Atlètic (the reserve side) after completing the usual medical checks and familiarizing himself with the club’s facilities, and will begin training with his new teammates in the coming days.
Hamza Abdel Karim, born January 1, 2008, becomes the first Egyptian to wear the Barcelona shirt.
The forward is a product of Al Ahly’s youth system and has represented Egypt at under-17 level, having been one of the standout talents in the latest World Cup edition for his age group.
Barça described him as a forward with high movement, strong link-up play, and a constant eye on goal, noting his first appearance for Al Ahly in the CAF Champions League and his participation in the Egypt Cup.
Punchline 1: That first touch was so precise the goalkeeper filed a missing-players report for the defense.
Punchline 2: If football had a sniper, Hamza would be dialing in from the halfway line—no mess, just straight to the target.
