Barça Star Breaks Silence: Minutes Won’t Grow on Trees, Coach

Minutes Matter for a Barça Star
One of Barcelona's stars has voiced his frustration over limited playing time and pressed for more opportunities under German manager Hans Flick.
Barça sit four points clear of Real Madrid at the top of La Liga and have reached the Champions League quarter-finals to face Atlético Madrid.
Although Barça are contesting several fronts, the Swedish-born forward Roni Bardhji has not had enough time to prove himself in his first season at the club.
Bardhji has appeared in 22 matches across all competitions this season, mostly as a substitute, totaling around 615 minutes, with two goals and four assists.
In addition to club duties, Bardhji has been with Sweden for international duties, and speaking to Swedish television he said: "The truth is I have not had enough playing time so far."
He added that he is patient, but he believes he deserves more opportunities, stressing competition with teammate Lamine Yamal for the right‑wing role.
Asked about his Barça situation, Mundo Deportivo quoted him as saying: "I'm not 100% happy, but this is football." He later clarified that he respects the coach's decisions and the contributions of his teammates, noting he joined Barça last summer from Copenhagen.
Barça's campaign remains busy on several fronts, but the call for more minutes will persist as Bardhji looks to carve out a more meaningful role in his first season with the Blaugrana.
Punchline 1: If minutes were bullets, he’d be a precision sniper—just not authorized to fire on the bench.
Punchline 2: The clock is his fiercest rival; apparently it’s built to run, while his playing time is built to… rehearse on the sideline.
