Al-Hilal of Sudan issued a statement requesting participation in CAF investigations into its complaint against Renaissance Berkane of Morocco.

The team exited the CAF Champions League quarterfinals after a 1-1 away draw and a 0-1 home defeat.

It filed a formal complaint with CAF accusing Berkane of fielding a suspended player due to doping.

Al-Hilal, in a statement posted on its Facebook page, said Hamza Al Mousaoui of Berkane played in both legs.

The statement added that Mousaoui played a decisive role in the first leg by earning a penalty.

Al-Hilal expressed astonishment and urged involvement in related disciplinary procedures to safeguard justice and fair play.

Meanwhile, the Voice of Arabs newspaper reported that CAF’s disciplinary committee would hold an emergency meeting tomorrow to discuss the complaint.
