Kadsh set to feature in Saudi Clasico despite bruise
The defender Hassan Kadsh is set to participate with Al-Ittihad in the upcoming Saudi Clasico against Al-Hilal, despite a minor bruise sustained in the Qatar clash.
The Red and White are preparing to face Al-Hilal at Kingdom Arena next Saturday in the 24th round of the Roshen Saudi Pro League.
Al-Ittihad approach the match with high spirits after routing Al-Sadd 4-1 in the final round of the Asian top-tier competition, with Kadsh delivering a standout performance and contributing to the win despite an injury at the end of the game.
Kadsh, the 33-year-old defender, shone against Al-Sadd and created a goal that helped seal the big victory, though he finished the match injured.
According to the newspaper Al-Yom, the international defender suffered a minor bruise but completed the 90 minutes.
The report adds that, despite the knock, Kadsh will be technically and physically ready to feature against Al-Hilal.
Kadsh remains one of the mainstays relied upon by Portuguese coach Sergio Conceicao in the defense, having started the last 14 consecutive league games for the team.
In total, Kadsh has played 20 matches for the Union in all competitions this season, contributing to two goals—one scored and one assisted. Notably, both contributions came in the last two outings: a goal against Al-Fayha in the league and an assist against Al-Sadd in the Asian competition.
