Felix's Premier League Return on the Radar
The Portuguese star Joao Felix has resurfaced in Premier League chatter after spending a season with Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.
Felix joined Al Nassr in the summer window from Chelsea for about 30 million euros, with add-ons potentially taking the package to 50 million, according to reports.
British outlets, citing foreign sources, say Manchester United are keen to sign Felix in the upcoming transfer window as he continues to shine in Riyadh.
Performance and Fit for United
The forward has appeared 37 times for Al Nassr this season, contributing to 36 goals in total: 21 goals and 15 assists, averaging almost a goal per game.
United see him as a versatile attacker who can operate across multiple forward roles, thanks to his technical quality and tactical flexibility.
Yet the move won't be easy: Al Nassr want to keep him, and his hefty Saudi Pro League salary complicates negotiations, though United will not give up easily.
Felix has previously spent time in England with Chelsea, after a loan from Atletico Madrid in the 2022-23 season, before a permanent move to Chelsea, a loan to Milan the following season, and then the transfer to Al Nassr.
In a rather disrupted season, the star has tallied 11 goals in 40 appearances across competitions for Chelsea, plus two assists.
Punchline 1: If Felix signs for United, expect the nets to start getting frequent flyer miles from all the extra-time replays.
Punchline 2: If this move happens, the Premier League will finally have another player who makes the highlights reel look like a TED Talk on passing—short and sharp, with a killer finish.
