Afsha Nears Al Ittihad Move
Al Ittihad Alexandria Club are close to finalizing a loan deal for Mohamed Magdi 'Afsha' from Al Ahly until the end of the season.
An Ismaily source said President Mohamed Salama has held intensive talks with Afsha after Ahly's consent to a season-long loan, signifying progress today.
The club also says the procedures include agreeing on personal terms, with one final step expected to seal the move later today.
Other January Moves and Injury Update
Meanwhile, Ismaili cut two other winter loans: Nigerian Favour Akim and Mahmoud Agyib (from Ceramica Cleopatra), as the club reshuffles for the second half.
The club also confirmed a setback with goalkeeper Mahmoud Abdel Rahim 'Ghonsh' suffering a hamstring tear.
Punchline 1: If this deal goes through, Afsha might need a larger locker.
Punchline 2: And if the loan is extended, Al Ahly will demand recruitment fees for the bench warmer's autograph.
